Ingredients list for Vanilla Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla essence
- 3 Eggs
- 8 tablespoons Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 1 cup Milk
Method
- Break eggs and separate the egg yolks from the whites.
- Bring sufficient water to a boil in a deep non-stick pan. Place a glass bowl on top of it and put egg yolks and castor sugar in it. Cook till well blended and the sugar dissolves, whisking continuously.
- Add vanilla essence and whisk well.
- Add milk and mix well. Cook till the sauce thickens. You can transfer this sauce now in a non-stick pan and cook on direct heat as well.
- Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
- Serve with your choice of dessert.
