Dry roast sesame seeds for 2-3 minutes. Transfer half the sesame seeds into a mixer jar, cool completely and grind into a coarse powder. Whisk together butter and sugar in a bowl. Add vanilla essence and egg yolks and whisk into a smooth batter. Add the ground sesame seeds powder and maida and knead into dough.Refrigerate the dough for 15-20 minutes. Remove the dough from the refrigerator, divide into small portions and shape into small biscuits. Coat the biscuits with the remaining sesame seeds.
