Ingredients list for Tea Fancies Sable
- 2 cups + 2 Refined flour (maida)
- 1 cup + 2 Butter
- 1 cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 2 Egg yolks
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla essence
- For topping Cherries
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and castor sugar in a bowl till light and fluffy. Add egg yolks and beat well. Add vanilla essence and beat again.
- Add flour and fold in well to make a smooth mixture. Put this mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star nozzle.
- Pipe out rosettes on the parchment paper and top with cherries. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake till golden. Remove from heat and cool completely.
- Serve.
