Ingredients list for Tariyal Machhi

  • 4 Pomfrets cut into 3 medium sized pieces
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 3 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 3 teaspoons Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup Semolina (rawa/suji)
  • to shallow fry Oil

Method

  1. Marinate the fish with salt, lemon juice, red chilli powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder and set aside for an hour.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
  3. Roll the fish pieces in semolina and then shallow fry the fish pieces till tender and crisp.
  4. Serve hot.
