Ingredients list for Tandoori Crabs

  • 4 Crabs
  • 8 tablespoons Red Chilli Paste
  • 3 tablespoons Garlic paste
  • 3 tablespoons Ginger paste
  • 8 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 3 Eggs
  • 5 tablespoons Gram flour (besan)
  • to taste Salt
  • for bastin Butter

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6. Lightly crack the claws and back of the crab. To make the marinade mix together the chilli, garlic and ginger pastes, lemon juice, eggs, gram flour and salt in a bowl.
  2. Apply the mixture to the crabs and leave to marinate for thirty minutes. Place the crabs in a baking tray and bake for fifteen minutes. Baste with butter and bake for five more minutes. Serve hot.
