Ingredients list for Steamed Fish

  • 8 Fish
  • 1 inch piece Ginger cut into thin strips
  • 6-8 cloves Garlic, crushed
  • 2-3 Green chillies, seeded and chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 Lemon, cut into roundels
  • 1/4 bunch Fresh coriander leaves

Method

  1. Cut the fish fillets into big chunks. Place the fish pieces in a clay pot. Add ginger, garlic, green chillies and salt.
  2. Add lemon juice and mix. Add lemon roundels and half a cup of water. Put the lid on and bring it to a boil, reduce the heat and cook for about four minutes.
  3. Chop the coriander leaves along with their stems and add it to the boiling fish. Cover once again and cook for one minute. Serve hot.
