This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 24 Dec 2014 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Moong sprouts, Matki sprouts Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Rice Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Sprout Khichdi 1/2 cup Moong sprouts 1/4 cup Matki sprouts 1/4 cup Split green gram skinless (dhuli moong dal) soaked and drained 3/4 cup Basmati rice soaked 2-3 Cloves 1 inch stick Cinnamon 5-6 Black peppercorns 2 tablespoons Ghee 2 medium Onion chopped 2 Green chillies slit 1 teaspoon Ginger paste 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder Method Heat ghee in a pressure cooker, add cinnamon, cloves, black peppercorns and saute for 1 minute. Add onions and saute till lightly coloured. Add moong and matki sprouts, moong dal. Add ginger, green chillies, turmeric powder and salt. Add rice, 4 cups water and mix. Close the cooker and cook till 2-3 whistles are given out. Let thekhichdi remain in the cooker for 5-10 minutes. Serve hot.
