Ingredients list for Shish Taouk With Rice
- 400 grams Boneless chicken cut into 1 inch pieces on the bone
- 1/2 cups Basmati rice soaked
- 3 tablespoons Olive oil
- to taste Salt
- 3 stocks Chicken stock
- 2 tablespoons Hung curd
- 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Tomato puree
- 1 medium Green capsicum diced
- 1 medium Red capsicum diced
- 1 medium Yellow capsicum diced
Method
- Heat 2 tbsps oil in a rice cooker. Add rice, salt and chicken stock. Stir, cover and cook till done.

- Take yogurt in bowl. Add garlic, salt, cayenne pepper and chicken pieces. Mix well.
- Add lemon juice and 1 tbsp oil. Mix well. Add tomato puree and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 4 hours.
- Thread the chicken pieces onto skewers along with green, red and yellow capsicums alternately.
- Heat oil in non stick pan. Place skewers on it, cover and cook, rotating the skewers till chicken is done evenly all around.
- Spread cooked rice on serving dish and place skewers on it. Serve immediately.
