Ingredients list for Sesame And Coriander Coated Fish
- 400 grams Boneless fish cut into 2 inch pieces
- 1/2 cup White sesame seeds roasted
- 1/2 cup Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- 2 Eggs beaten
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon White pepper powder
- 2-3 cloves Garlic finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons Refined flour (maida)
- 1/2 teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns
- 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 Lemon sliced
- 1 sprig Fresh mint (pudina)
Method
- Put eggs in a bowl, add salt, pepper powder, chopped garlic, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice and mix well. Add refined flour and mix. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Place the fish on a plate and sprinkle some salt and freshly crushed peppercorns over them.
- Heat extra virgin olive oil in a non stick pan. Spread the sesame seeds in a plate.Roll the fish pieces in the egg batter, roll in the sesame seeds well so that the pieces are completely coated with sesame seeds.
- Place the fish pieces in the pan and shallow fry on one side for 3 minutes or till the underside is golden. Flip over and shallow fry for another 3 minutes or till the other side is equally golden. Drain them on absorbent paper. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon over them.
- Arrange the pieces on a serving plate, garnish with one lemon slice dipped in red chilli powder, one plain lemon slice and a sprig of fresh mint and serve immediately.
