Prawns Provencale Marinated prawns cooked in onion- tomato based gravy . By Sanjeev Kapoor 12 Nov 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Prawns, Lemon Juice Cuisine American Course Main Course Seafood Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Prawns Provencale 12-16 Prawns shelled and deveined 2 teaspoons Lemon Juice to taste Salt 2 medium Onions finely chopped 6-8 cloves Garlic finely chopped 1 bunch Parsley 6-7 medium Tomatoes blanched, peeled and chopped 1 teaspoon Olive oil 1 Bay leaf 1/2 teaspoon Black peppercorns crushed Method Marinate the prawns with lemon juice and a little salt preferably in the refrigerator till required. Reserve a few sprigs of parsley for garnish and finely chop the remaining. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add bay leaf and garlic and stir fry for half a minute. Add onions and cook on medium heat, stirring continuously, till onions turn transluscent. Add tomatoes and three fourth cup of water, cover and cook on medium heat for five minutes, stirring occasionally. Add marinated prawns, salt and crushed peppercorns. Stir and cook over medium heat for three to four minutes or till prawns are just cooked. Add chopped parsley and mix well.
