Ingredients list for Pistewala Dalia

  • 1 tablespoon Pistachios chopped
  • 1/2 cup Dalia soaked for ½ hour and drained
  • 2 teaspoons Ghee
  • 8 tablespoons Green peas blanched
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 5 tablespoons Sugar
  • Pistachios blanched and chopped

Method

  1. Heat 1 tsp ghee in non stick pan.
  2. Grind green peas with 2-3 tbsps water in a blender till smooth.
  3. Add dalia in the pan and sauté till translucent. Add pea puree and mix well. Add remaining ghee, mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add ½ cup milk and stir to mix. Add remaining milk and stir again. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously.
  5. Lower heat and add pistachios and sugar. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  6. Pour into individual stemmed glasses and serve chilled garnished with chopped blanched pistachios.
