During the 18th and 19th centuries, the Americans developed a number of new foods.  What characterised the American cuisine is the adaptation of a fusion of multiple ethnic cooking styles. During this period food production and presentation became more industrialised.

Ingredients for Picnic Hot Dog Recipe

  • Hot Dog Buns 4

  • Chicken Sausages 4

  • Butter 2 tablespoons

  • English mustard paste 4 tablespoons

  • Mustard paste coarse 4 teaspoons

  • Onions chopped 2 medium

  • Tomato ketchup 4 tablespoons

  • Lettuce shredded 1 bunch

  • Green chillies 4


Step 1

Slit the hot dog buns into half without cutting it into two. Take a pan, add two tablespoons of water and cook the chicken sausages in it.

Step 2

Apply butter on the inside of the buns, apply mustard paste, kasundi and one spoonful of chopped onion. Spread tomato ketchup and arrange the shredded lettuce. Place the hot sausages, one in each bun. If you want you can put a whole green chilli. Serve immediately.
