Ingredients
- 1½ cups refined flour (maida)
- 5 tablespoons milk powder
- 5 tablespoons cornflour/cornstarch
- ¾ teaspoon baking powder
- ¾ cup castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Cold butter cubes to serve
- Honey to serve
- Fresh fruits to serve
Method
- Sieve refined flour into a large bowl. Add milk powder, cornflour, baking powder and castor sugar and whisk till well combined.
- Transfer into an air-tight container and store for up to 20 days in a dry place.
- For making one portion, take 1 cup of the prepared pre-mix in a bowl, add 2 tbsps melted butter and ½ cup water and mix well. Rest the batter for 5-10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick pan, drizzle some melted butter and spread it with tissue paper. Pour a ladle of batter and cook on medium heat till the underside is golden brown.
- Flip the pancake and cook the other side till cooked completely. Make more pancakes similarly.
- Transfer them onto serving plates and serve hot with butter, honey and fresh fruits.
