Orange Marmalade Cake A simple cake to be served during high teas. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 03 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Orange Marmalade, Refined Flour Cuisine American Course Desserts Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Orange Marmalade Cake 1/4 cup Orange Marmalade 2 cups Refined Flour a few drops Orange essence 1/4 teaspoon Candied orange peel chopped 1 teaspoon Baking powder 2 cups Butter 2 cups Castor sugar (caster sugar) 5 Eggs Method Preheat oven to 180°C. Sieve together refined flour and baking powder into a bowl. Cream butter and sugar till light fluffy. Gradually add eggs, two to three at a time, till the mixture is light. Add orange essence and mix well. Fold in the refined flour mixture. Add the candied orange peel and mix well. Grease a mould and pour the batter into it. Place the mould in the preheated oven and bake at for twenty to twenty-five minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and cool. Spread orange marmalade on top of the cake and serve.
