Ingredients list for Oats and Nut Bars
- 1 cup Oats
- 5-6 Dark Chocolate roughly chopped
- 5-6 Almonds roughly chopped
- 5-6 Walnuts roughly chopped
- 1 Square vanilla sponge cake
- 1 cup Chopped dark chocolate
- 1/4 cup Fresh cream
- 3 teaspoons Milk
Method
- Dry roast oats in a non-stick pan and put into a bowl.
- Dry roast cashewnuts, almonds and walnuts in the same pan, till golden. Add to the oats and mix well.
- Put chocolate in a bowl and melt in a microwave for a minute. Remove from the oven and whisk till smooth.
- Heat cream in the same non-stick pan till just warm and pour over the melted chocolate and mix well.
- Add chocolate mixture to oat-nut mixture and mix well. Add milk and mix well. Chill for five to ten minutes.
- Halve the vanilla sponge horizontally and spread the chocolate mixture over each half and refrigerate till the chocolate sets. Cut into bars and serve.
