By Sanjeev Kapoor 30 Oct 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Oatmeal, Raisins Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Difficult Others Veg Ingredients list for Oatmeal And Raisin Cookies 1/2 cup Oatmeal 1/4 teaspoon Raisins chopped 1/2 cup Butter 3/4 cup + tablespoon Castor sugar (caster sugar) 3/4 cup + tablespoon Refined flour (maida) 1/4 teaspoon Soda bicarbonate 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder 1 teaspoon Lemon rind grated 1 tablespoon Golden syrup/honey 2 tablespoons Milk chilled Method Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a baking tray. Take butter in a bowl and soften it with a wooden spoon. Add sugar and mix well with the butter. Sift flour with soda bicarbonate and cinnamon powder into the bowl. Add oatmeal, chopped raisins, lemon rind, golden syrup and mix. Add chilled milk and mix into a dough. Do not knead the dough too much. Take marble sized portions, roll them into balls and press lightly. Place these on the greased baking tray keeping sufficient distance between each. Bake in the preheated oven for about fifteen minutes. Turn them onto a wire rack to cool. Store in airtight tin.
