Ingredients list for Nimbu Pani

  • 2 Lemons
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • to taste Black salt (kala namak)
  • to taste Salt
  • for garnish Fresh mint sprigs
  • for garnish Lemon slices


  1. To make sugar syrup, heat a non-stick pan, add sugar and 1 cup water, mix well and cook on medium heat till sugar melts. Transfer into a bowl and set aside to cool.
  2. Halve the lemons. For each portion squeeze the juice of ½ lemon into a serving glass. Add black salt, salt, 1-2 tbsps sugar syrup and ½ cup chilled water. Cover the glass with another glass and shake well to mix.
  3. Garnish with a lemon slice and a mint sprig and serve immediately.
