Ingredients list for Nariyal Burfi
- 2 medium Coconut scraped
- 2 cups Sugar
- a few strands Saffron (kesar)
- 100 grams Mawa (khoya)
- 1 tablespoon Milk
Method
- Make sugar syrup using sugar and one and half cups of water. When it begins to boil add a tablespoon of milk to clarify the sugar syrup. Boil it to one string consistency.
- Add saffron to this syrup. Take a pan and sauté scraped coconut and khoya on low heat. When it is slightly dry remove. Grease a plate and keep ready.
- Start adding roasted coconut to the sugar syrup gradually, keep on stirring the mixture. When it is semi solid remove from heat and spread onto the greased plate.
- Apply silver varq. Cut into diamond shapes when it cools down.
