Moong Dal Halwa Premix - SK Khazana Moong dal halwa is one of the most decadent and delicious halwa out there but it does take a lot of time to make but if you have a premix ready then it can be made quickly and without any fuss! By Sanjeev Kapoor 16 Apr 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Split skinless green gram (moong dal), Ghee Cuisine Indian Course Desserts Prep Time 51-60 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Moong Dal Halwa Premix - SK Khazana 3 cups Split skinless green gram (moong dal) 1/2 cup Ghee 6 tablespoons Almonds chopped 6 tablespoons Cashew Nuts chopped 1/2 cup Milk powder 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 1 1/2 cup Powdered sugsar Saffron a large pinch off for garnish Pistachios slivered Method Grind the moong dal to a coarse powder. Heat a non-stick pan, add the coarse powder and roast till fragrant and golden brown. Make a well in the center and add ghee and add almond and cashew nuts and roast for a few seconds. Mix well and take the pan off the heat. Transfer into a bowl and allow to cool completely. Add milk powder, green cardamom powder and powdered sugar. Add saffron and mix well. Transfer into an airtight jar and use up to 15 days. For making the moong dal, take ½ cup premix in a microwave safe bowl, add ¾ cup hot water, cover with a lid and microwave on high for 2 minutes, mix and microwave again for 2-3 minutes.
