Ingredients
- 2-3 white radish, peeled and cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup split green gram skinless (dhuli moong dal), soaked for 1 hour
- 3 teaspoons gram flour (besan)
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 5 dried red chillies
- 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
- 1 cup radish leaves, chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
Method
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in one non stick pan, and the remaining oil in another non stick pan.
- Cut red chillies into small pieces and add to the second pan. Toss and add ginger and asafoetida. Mix and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add radish pieces and mix, cook for a minute and add radish greens and salt. Mix well and add turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add moong dal to the first pan and cook on high heat for 3-4 minutes. Add coriander powder and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Add besan and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Add salt and mix.
- Add the mixture in the first pan to the second pan and mix well. Cook till dry.
- Serve hot.
