Ingredients
- 1 cup chicken mince
Dough - 1 cup refined flour (maida)
- Salt to taste
Stuffing - 1 small onion, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1½ tsps soy sauce
- 2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 1 tsp finely chopped garlic
- 2 tsps red chilli sauce
- Schezwan sauce to serve
Method
- For the dough, add refined flour, salt and sufficient water in a large bowl and knead to a semi-stiff dough.
- For the stuffing, take chicken mince in another bowl, add onion, salt, crushed black peppercorns, sesame oil, soy sauce, chopped coriander and garlic and mix till well combined.
- Add red chilli sauce and mix well. Set aside.
- Lightly knead the dough and divide into small portions. Roll each portion in a ball.
- Roll the dough balls into small discs. Stuff each disc with a portion of the prepared chicken mixture and shape them into momos.
- Heat sufficient water in deep pan, place the momos basket lined with parchment paper on it and arrange the prepared momos in it and steam for 10-12 minutes.
- Serve hot with schezwan sauce.
