Ingredients list for Mocha Custard
- 2-3 tablespoons Coffee decoction
- 3 Egg yolks
- ½ cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder
- 1½ cups Milk
- for garnishing Dark chocolate chips
- for garnishing White chocolate chips
- for garnishing White chocolate shavings
Method
- Place a glass bowl on a deep non-stick pan of boiling water. Add egg yolks and whisk. Add castor sugar, whisk and cook till it melts.
- Reduce heat, add vanilla essence and sift in cocoa powder and whisk. Add milk, whisk and cook till it thickens.
- Remove from heat, add coffee concoction and whisk.
- Strain the mixture into another bowl. Pour the mixture into individual cups. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
- Serve chilled garnished with mixed chocolate chips and white chocolate shavings.
