Mango Sherbet

King of fruits, mango, can be enjoyed in various ways and sherbet is one of them. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Mango Sherbet

  • 1½ cups Ripe mango chopped, frozen
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 135 grams Castor sugar (caster sugar)
  • 120 millilitres Fresh cream
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice

Method

  1. Blend together milk, castor sugar, cream and mango to a smooth mixture.
  2. Heat the mango mixture in a non-stick pan and bring to boil. Add lemon juice and mix. Switch off heat and cool down to room temperature.
  3. Transfer the mango mixture into an air-tight container, cover and freeze for 5-6 hours.
  4. Scoop and serve.
