Available in various types, shapes and sizes, these edible fungi (purely vegetarian!) are a great way to glam-up your dishes. Talking about the types, there are – button, enoki, morel, oyster, shiitake, porcini, chanterelle and portabella. Buy the ones with a firm texture and even colour with tightly-closed caps. If the gills are showing, it is an indication of age and they are probably past their prime.

Ingredients for Low Calorie Roast Mushroom Recipe

  • Mushrooms cut 500 grams

  • Thyme finely chopped 2 teaspoons

  • Garlic chopped 2 cloves

  • Olive oil 2 tablespoons

  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven at 200°C

Step 2

Take the mushrooms in a large bowl. Add the thyme and garlic to it and mix well.

Step 3

Add olive oil, black pepper powder and salt and mix well so that all the mushrooms gets coated.

Step 4

Take a baking tray. Put aluminum foil on it. put the mushrooms in the baking tray and bake for forty to forty five minutes by turning the mushrooms in between.

Step 5

Serve
