This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 07 Mar 2017 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Semolina (rawa/suji) , Rice flour Cuisine TamilNadu Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Kuzhi Uppu Paniyaram 1/2 cup Semolina (rawa/suji) 1/2 cup Rice flour 2 tablespoons Sour yogurt 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 1 Green chilli chopped 1 medium Onion chopped 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped to taste Salt 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda for cooking Oil Method Combine semolina, rice flour, sour yogurt, cumin seeds, green chillies, onions, coriander leaves and salt in a bowl and mix well. Add water, little by little, and mix well to make a thick batter. Add baking soda and mix well. Rest the batter for 10 minutes. Heat a paniyaram tawa. Drizzle a little oil into each cavity and spread it with a tissue paper. Drizzle some more oil in each cavity and pour the batter into them filling upto ¾ the depth. Drizzle a little oil all around and cook. When the underside turns golden, turn them over with a wooden skewer. Drizzle some more oil all around and cook for 1- 1½ minutes. When the paniyarams become golden and crisp on both sides, serve them hot with coconut chutney or with tomato chutney or any other chutney of your choice.
