Ingredients list for Khameeri Roti - SK Khazana
- 4 cups Whole wheat flour
- 2 teaspoons Dried yeast
- 6 tablespoons Castor sugar
- 1 cup Mik
- 4 tablespoons Fennel (saunf) powder
- to taste Salt
- for brushi tablespoons Ghee
Method
- Put yeast in a bowl. Add 4 tablespoons warm water and 1 tablespoon castor sugar, mix and set aside to activate.
- Mix together milk and remaining castor sugar in another bowl.
- Sift together wheat flour, fennel powder and salt in the bowl of milk. Add activated yeast and ghee, mix and knead into soft dough. Set aside in a warm place to prove.
- Preheat oven to 180˚C.
- Knock back the dough, divide into 4 equal portions and flatten into thick rotis.
- Transfer the rotis on a baking tray, put in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Brush ghee on the rotis and serve hot.
