Ingredients list for Khajur Dahi
- 20 Dates
- 5 cups Yogurt
- 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 3 tablespoons Yogurt
- 12-15 Pistachios blanched and sliced
Method
- Boil milk and set aside to cool. When it is lukewarm pour it into an earthenware pot. Soak fifteen dates in half a cup of warm water for ten minutes. Drain and grind to a smooth pulp.
- Cut the remaining dates into thin strips. Add the date pulp to the milk in the earthenware pot and mix well. Add green cardamom powder and mix again. Add yogurt and stir well.
- Place the pot in warm place till the yogurt is well set. Chill it in the refrigerator. Serve chilled garnished with date strips and pistachio slices.
