Ingredients list for Kerala Squid Masala

  • 500 grams Squids cut into rings
  • 3 tablespoons Coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder


  1. In a large bowl mix together squids with salt and turmeric powder.
    Heat one tablespoon coconut oil in a pressure cooker. Add squids and pressure cook for one whistle
  2. Blend together garlic, ginger, onion, red chilli powder, salt and black pepper powder with water to a fine paste.
  3. Heat remaining oil in a non-stick pan add green chillies, tomatoes and the paste and saute for a minute.
  4. Add the squids and cook on low heat for few minutes.
    Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
