Jumbo Sundae

It’s indeed a huge sundae with custard, fresh fruits, dried fruits and three types of ice creams. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients list for Jumbo Sundae

  • 2 cups Vanilla Custard powder
  • 2 tablespoons Milk
  • 8-10 Orange segments
  • ½ cup Pineapple chopped
  • for garnishing Mixed nuts chopped, ½ cup +
  • as required Strawberry ice cream
  • 2 tablespoons Tutti frutti
  • as required Butterscotch ice-cream
  • as required Chocolate Icecream
  • 4-5 Cherries


  1. Reserve a tablespoon of milk and heat the remaining in a deep non-stick pan.
  2. Take custard powder in a bowl and add the reserved milk in it and mix well. Add this mixture back in the pan and cook till it thickens, stirring continuously. Switch off heat, cool to room temperature and refrigerate.
  3. Roughly chop orange segments.
  4. In a large glass, spread a layer of some of the pineapple and top with alternate layers of some orange, some nuts, 3 scoops of strawberry ice cream, tutti fruity, remaining nuts, 3 scoops of butterscotch ice cream, remaining pineapple and remaining orange segments. Pour the prepared custard on top and top with 4 scoops of chocolate ice cream. Garnish with chopped nuts, sliced cherries and serve immediately..
