Ingredients list for Jowar Bhakri - SK Khazana
- 1 cup Sorghum (jowar) flour
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Oil
- for dusting Whole wheat flour
- to serve Onion wedges
- to serve Lemon wedges
Method
- Take sorghum flour in a parat, add salt, oil and sufficient water and knead into a soft dough. Cover with a muslin cloth and set aside for sometime.
- Divide the dough into equal balls. Dust whole wheat flour on worktop, keep each dough ball on it and pat with your palm and fingers into a round bhakri.
- Heat a non-stick tawa and place the bhakri on it, sprinkle some water, spread around with fingers. Cook for 2 minutes and flip. Cook for a minute, lift it with tongs and place on direct flame till it puffs up. Transfer onto a serving plate.
- Make more bhakri similarly.
- Serve hot with an onion wedge and a lemon wedge.
