Ingredients list for Ilish Macher Sorse Jhol
- 8 Hilsa 1/2 inch slices
- 4 teaspoons Mustard paste
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric paste
- 3/4 teaspoon Red chilli paste
- 2 tablespoons Mustard paste
- 3-4 Green chillies slit
- to taste Salt
Method
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish pieces till lightly browned. Drain and keep aside.
- Mix together turmeric paste, red chilli paste and mustard paste in two cups of water and bring to a boil in a pan.
- Add slit green chillies and simmer for two minutes.
- Add the fried fish pieces and salt to taste and simmer till the fish is cooked. Serve hot with rice.
