Ingredients list for Hazelnut Blondie
- 2 cups + for dusting Refined flour (maida)
- 1¼ cups + for greasing Melted butter
- 1½ cups Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 3 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ½ cup + for garnishing Hazelnuts roasted and chopped
- 200 grams White chocolate roughly chopped
- as required Hazelnut-chocolate spread
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C. Grease a square baking tin with some butter and dust with some flour.
- Beat together butter and castor sugar till light
- Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well. Add vanilla essence and beat till well combined.
- Sieve together flour and baking powder into the mixture. Add hazelnuts and mix till well combined. Add chocolate and mix well.
- Pour this mixture into the prepared tin and tap. Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. Remove from oven, cool and demould.
- Spread hazelnut-chocolate spread on top. Garnish with hazelnuts and serve.
