Ingredients list for Gadhio Khichdo
- 500 grams Wheat broken
- 5 tablespoons Ghee
- 3 cup Milk
- 100 grams Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
- 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- to garnish Coconut, scraped
- to garnish Raisins
Method
- Mix four tablespoons of ghee in broken wheat and cook in double the quantity of water till almost dry.
- Heat one tablespoon of ghee in a kadai. Add broken wheat, milk and sugar. Bring the milk to boil and reduce the heat to simmer.
- Keep on stirring till thick and dry. Add cardamom and the nutmeg powder and mix.
- Pour this into a greased tray to set. Garnish with scraped coconut and raisins. Cut into desired shapes and serve.
