Ingredients
- 4 tsps tea leaves
- 2 cups orange juice
- 4 tsps lemon juice
- 10 tsps sugar
- a few sprigs of fresh mint leaves
- 1 lemon
- 2 tbsps honey
Method
- Boil three cups of water, add sugar and tealeaves and brew the tea for a minute. Add eight to ten fresh mint leaves. Remove from heat, strain and set aside to cool. Cut the lemon into round slices.
- When the tea cools to room temperature add lemon juice and mix well.
- Pour a cup of the decoction into an ice tray and set it to freeze for making “tea” ice cubes.
- Add orange juice and honey to the rest of the decoction and chill thoroughly.
- While serving pour the chilled tea into individual glasses, place the tea ice cubes, garnish with a sprig of mint leaves and lemon slices.
