French Egg Toast

Ingredients 

  • 8 slices of brown bread
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ¾ cup lukewarm milk
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Icing sugar to sprinkle

Method

  1. Break eggs into a deep bowl and beat with a fork.
  2. Add sugar and beat till well blended. Add milk and continue beating.
  3. Cut bread slices into triangles.
  4. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Dip bread slices in egg mixture and coat well in the mixture. Shallow-fry till both sides are evenly browned.
  5. Sprinkle icing sugar on top and serve hot.
