Ingredients list for Fish In Tomato Pepper Sauce
- 1(675) grams Fish
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon Dried basil
- to taste Salt
- 10 Black peppercorns crushed
- 2-3 cloves Garlic chopped
- FOR SAUCE
- 6 cloves Garlic chopped
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 2 cups Tomato concasse
- 1/2 cup White wine
- 3 tablespoons Tomato ketchup
Method
- Fillet the fish and cut into four steaks. Combine lemon juice, half of the oregano, basil, salt, peppercorns and garlic and apply on the fish steaks.
- Set aside to marinate for twenty to thirty minutes. In a non-stick frying pan roast garlic and onion till brown. Add tomato concasse, remaining oregano, white wine and tomato ketchup and cook for a couple of minutes
- Add marinated fish steaks. Cover and allow the fish to cook. Serve hot.
