Ingredients list for Date, Cranberry and Walnut Crisp
5-7 Seedless Dates chopped
6 tablespoons Dried Cranberries
4 tablespoons Walnut kernels chopped
8 Round wanton wrappers
2 tablespoons Refined flour slurry
for deep-frying Oil
Honey for drizzling
to sprinkle Icing sugar
Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
Put dates, walnuts and cranberries in a bowl and mash well.
Place wanton wrappers on worktop, apply refined flour slurry on the edges. Place some dry fruit mixture in the center of one, bring the edges together and seal to shape like a modak. Prepare the rest and in different shapes.
Gently slide into hot oil and deep-fry in till crisp and golden all over.
Transfer on a serving platter, drizzle honey, sprinkle icing sugar on the top and serve immediately.
