Ingredients list for Dainty Chocolate Cakes

  • 1/2 cup Refined flour (maida)
  • 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1/2 cup Butter softened
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • a few drops Vanilla essence
  • 1 cup Icing sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Butter melted


  1. Preheat the oven at 200°C Sieve the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder together into a bowl.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together till light and fluffy. Add eggs one by one and mix thoroughly.
  3. Fold into the flour mixture and add milk to geta dropping consistency. Add vanilla essence and mix well.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for twenty minutes Meanwhile to prepare the chocolate glace icing sieve the icing sugar and cocoa powder together into a clean bowl.
  5. Add two tablespoons of hot water and butter and beat well. Glace the cupcake with chocolate icing and serve.
