Cinnamon French Toast with Vanilla Icecream

Cinnamon powder and vanilla ice cream add a unique freshness to these French toasts. Eggy bread is always popular for breakfast or brunch at the weekend, plus it's something the whole family can enjoy! Ingredients list for Cinnamon French Toast with Vanilla Icecream

  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 4 White bread slices
  • to serve Vanilla ice cream
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • a pinch Salt
  • for shallow frying Clarified butter
  • for decorating Icing sugar
  • for decorating Rose petals

Method

  1. Break eggs in a bowl. Add heavy cream, ground cinnamon, honey and salt and whisk well.
  2. Heat clarified butter in a non-stick pan.
  3. Cut bread slices into triangles. Dip each bread triangle one by one in the egg mixture and place on the pan. Shallow-fry till evenly golden from both the sides.
  4. Place French toast on a serving plate. Sift icing sugar on top and serve immediately with vanilla ice cream scoops and rose petals.
