Ingredients list for Chocolate and Coconut Dim sums

  • 4 tbsps + for drizzling Chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 cup Fresh coconut , scraped
  • 250 grams Readymade dim sum dough
  • for brushi tablespoons Ghee
  • 1/4 cup Mixed dried nuts , coarsely powdered
  • 1/2 cup Khoya , grated

Method

  1. Place a banana leaf in a steamer, pour sufficient water in the lower compartment and heat.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a non-stick pan, add powdered nuts and saute for a minute.
  3. Add coconut, mix and saute till light brown. Remove from heat and transfer the mixture into a bowl.
  4. Add khoya and 2 tbsps chocolate syrup and mix well.
  5. Divide the dim sum dough into medium equal portions and roll out each into a disc. Place a spoonful of coconut mixture in the centre of each disc, brush a little water on the edges, seal and shape into dim sums.
  6. Brush some ghee on the banana leaf, place the dim sums on it, cover the steamer and steam for 5-6 minutes.
  7. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in another non-stick pan, add steamed dim sums and pan-fry till lightly browned on all sides. Add 2 tbsps chocolate syrup and toss.
  8. Transfer into a serving platter, drizzle some Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup on top and serve immediately.
