Ingredients list for Chocolate and Coconut Dim sums
- 4 tbsps + for drizzling Chocolate syrup
- 1/2 cup Fresh coconut , scraped
- 250 grams Readymade dim sum dough
- for brushi tablespoons Ghee
- 1/4 cup Mixed dried nuts , coarsely powdered
- 1/2 cup Khoya , grated
Method
- Place a banana leaf in a steamer, pour sufficient water in the lower compartment and heat.
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a non-stick pan, add powdered nuts and saute for a minute.
- Add coconut, mix and saute till light brown. Remove from heat and transfer the mixture into a bowl.
- Add khoya and 2 tbsps chocolate syrup and mix well.
- Divide the dim sum dough into medium equal portions and roll out each into a disc. Place a spoonful of coconut mixture in the centre of each disc, brush a little water on the edges, seal and shape into dim sums.
- Brush some ghee on the banana leaf, place the dim sums on it, cover the steamer and steam for 5-6 minutes.
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee in another non-stick pan, add steamed dim sums and pan-fry till lightly browned on all sides. Add 2 tbsps chocolate syrup and toss.
- Transfer into a serving platter, drizzle some Hershey’s Chocolate Syrup on top and serve immediately.
