Ingredients list for Chocolate Cookies
- 325 grams Chocolate chopped
- 100 grams Chocolate melted
- 108 grams Refined flour (maida)
- 3 grams Baking powder
- 100 grams Cocoa powder
- 2 Eggs
- 80 grams Butter
- 80 grams Castor sugar (caster sugar)
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Sift together the refined flour with baking powder and cocoa powder into a bowl.
- Break eggs into another bowl.
- Cream butter and castor sugar with an electric beater in another bowl.
- Add eggs, one by one and beat till well blended.
- Add melted chocolate and beat till well blended.
- Add chopped chocolate to flour mixture and mix well.
- Add chocolate-flour mixture to creamed mixture and fold in with the help of a spatula till it becomes a dough. Refrigerate for 40-50 minutes.
- Divide dough into equal portions and flatten them into cookies. Place cookies on a baking tray, put the tray in preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cool. Serve or store in an airtight container.
