Ingredients list for Cherry Cheese Pineapple Cigars

  • 1/4 cup Cherries tinned, chopped
  • 3/4 cup Cheddar cheese grated
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple tinned, chopped
  • 12-16 Samosa pattis
  • 7-8 Fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Refined flour (maida)
  • for deep-frying Oil

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
  2. Combine cheese, pineapple and cherries in a bowl and mix well. Tear mint leaves and add. Mix well.
  3. Mix flour with little water to make a thick paste.
  4. Place samosa pattis on a worktop and dampen with some water. Place a portion of prepared mixture on one end, apply flour paste on the edges and roll into cigars.
  5. Deep-fry the cigars till golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  6. Serve hot garnished with a mint sprig.
