Remove bottom and tip and then cut in to an inch pieces. Wash green chillies and slit them. Mix besan with curd thoroughly, add app. 4 cups water and bring to a boil while stirring continuously. Reduce the flame, add curry leaves, green chillies and turmeric powder. Mix well. Continue cooking until it reduces to a medium thick consistency. Add bhindi and cook till soft. Heat oil in a small pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, dry whole red chillies, and cook for a moment to let seeds crackle. Add this to kadhi, cover the pot for a minute and then mix well.
