Ingredients list for Berry Sangria Granita - SK Khazana
- 1/2 cup Strawberries chopped
- 2 cups Red wine
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 3/4 cup Orange juice
- 1 cup Cranberry juice
- 1 inch stick Cinnamon
- 1/2 Lemon
Method
- Heat a deep non-stick pan, add sugar and ½ water, mix well and let the sugar dissolve completely. Add orange juice and cranberry juice, mix well and let the mixture come to a boil on high heat.
- Add strawberries, break the cinnamon stick and add to the pan. Mix well and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add wine, mix well and let the mixture simmer for 5-7 minutes. Switch the heat off and squeeze the juice of ½ lemon into the pan and mix well. Set the pan aside to cool.
- Strain the mixture into a casserole dish and freeze for 3-4 hours. Take it out of the freezer, scrape on all sides with a fork and freeze for 3-4 hours more.
- Fill up stemmed serving glasses with the granite and garnish with edible flowers.
- Place crushed ice and dry ice on a serving plate, scatter colourful flowers all over, place the glasses and pour hot water on the ice mixture. Serve immediately.
