Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Beetroot Til Ki Sabzi Recipe

  • Beetroot boiled and cut into ½ inch cubes 4-5 medium

  • Sesame Seeds roasted 2 tablespoons

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Curry leaves 5-6

  • Red chilli pepper 1/2 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1 teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves and sauté for a minute. Add beetroots, red chilli powder and coriander powder and mix well.

Step 2

Add garam masala powder and sesame seeds and toss well. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
