By Sanjeev Kapoor 05 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Almonds, Cashewnuts Cuisine Indian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Batter Fried Mixed Nuts 15-20 Almonds 15-20 Cashewnuts 1/4 cup Peanuts 1 cup Gram flour (besan) 2 tablespoons Rice flour 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon Cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon Soda bicarbonate to taste Salt to deep fry Oil 1 teaspoon Chaat masala Method Dry roast almonds, cashewnuts and peanuts separately for three to four minutes or till crisp. In a large bowl combine gram flour, rice flour, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, soda bicarbonate and salt. Add enough water to make a thick batter and whisk till smooth. Add the roasted nuts in the batter and mix. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep-fry the nuts, one by one, till crisp and golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain onto an absorbent paper. Sprinkle chaat masala and serve.
