Ingredients list for Banana French Toast

  • 1 cup Banana Puree
  • 8 Brown Bread Slices
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Castor sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh cream
  • 2 cups Cornflakes crushed
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1/4 cup Icing sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon powder


  1. Break eggs into a bowl, add banana puree, castor sugar and vanilla essence and whisk well. Add fresh cream and whisk again.
  2. Spread cornflakes on a plate.
  3. Dip 4 bread slices in the egg mixture, coat them with cornflakes and place them on a plate. Repeat the process with the remaining 4 slices and place them over the slices on the plate and press lightly.
  4. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, place the sandwiches in the pan and shallow-fry, turning sides, till evenly cooked and golden on both sides.
  5. Mix icing sugar and cinnamon powder in a bowl.
  6. Halve each banana French toast, arrange them on a serving plate, dredge sugar mixture on top and serve immediately.
