Ingredients list for Anzac Biscuits
- 1 1/4 cups Refined Flour sifted
- 1 cup Rolled Oats
- 1/2 cup Caster sugar
- 3/4 cup Desiccated coconut
- 2 tablespoons Golden syrup
- 3/4 cup Unsalted butter chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Soda bicarbonate
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with butter paper.
- Mix flour, oats, sugar and coconut in a bowl.
- Heat golden syrup in a non-stick pan, add butter and stir till the butter melts.
- Mix soda bicarbonate with one and a half tablespoons of water and add to the golden syrup mixture. Remove from heat and stir well.
- Add the flour mixture and mix well to make a soft dough.
- Divide the dough into twelve equal portions and shape them into balls. Flatten slightly and place on the tray. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for twelve minutes or until golden.
- Remove from oven and cool. Arrange the biscuits on a serving plate and serve.
