Cornflakes have always been synonymous to a hearty breakfast. I mean, what could probably be better than this – a bowl full of cornflakes dunked in milk, topped with fruits, nuts, sometimes honey too. Sounds so satisfying to kickstart the day with, isn’t it? However, what if I say that cornflakes are much more than just being a true companion of milk as a breakfast pairing? Cornflakes can actually be used with other ingredients to create some of the most delicious and interesting dishes. Cornflakes has a very interesting story. Once, two brothers, Will Kellogg and John Kellogg made a dough with stale wheat and pushed it through a roller, this resulted in broken flakes coming out. Later, this was then toasted and served to patients, where they both worked. Surprisingly, the patients liked it very much, so they continued to make it until it was done perfectly. Eventually, it gained popularity and took up space in the markets. Seeking this into perspective, other brands started making it as well.
