Ingredients list for Tom Kha Gai

  • 400 grams Chicken
  • 3 cups Thin coconut milk
  • 100 grams Straw Mushrooms
  • 2 stems Lemon grass
  • 2 inch piece Galangal
  • 3 Kaffir lime leaves
  • 6 Red bird’s-eye chillies
  • 1 cup Chicken stock
  • to taste Salt
  • 4 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons Fish sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar

Method

  1. Wash and cut chicken into one-centimeter strips. Clean, wash and halve mushrooms. Wash and chop lemon grass. Peel, wash and chop galangal. Wash and tear kaffir lime leaves into julienne. Remove stems, wash and lightly crush red bird’s-eye chillies.
